National School Breakfast Programme

26th April 2019

Dear Parents/Carers
As you know, getting children off to the right start at the beginning of the day is essential for a day of learning. If children are hungry at the start of the day they will find learning difficult.

We are delighted to tell you that our school has joined the government’s National School Breakfast Programme (NSBP) which is being delivered by the charities Family Action and Magic Breakfast.

As a NSBP School we are pleased to be offering our children a bagel as a way to ‘refuel at school’. The children, on coming into school, will be able to pick up a bagel from the Year 3 and 4 playground, Years 5 and 6 playground and the Year 1/2 area. Our Reception children will have their bagels delivered to their classrooms.

As this is a new initiative for us, please bear with us while we establish a routine. There may be blips along the way but we have a plan to heat, spread and serve the bagels by the start of school at 8.45 a.m.

Our Magic Breakfast will be starting on Monday 29th April.

Remember, if your child is here on time their bagel may still be warm!
